What do firecrackers symbolize in Chinese New Year?
People set off firecrackers to ward off misfortune and bring good luck and celebrate the coming of the new year.

Materials you will need:
- 2x red paper cardstock
- 1x yellow or gold foil paper cardstock
- Adhesive tape and double sided tape
- String for hanging the decor
How to Make a DIY Firecracker Decor for Chinese Lunar New Year
Start off by cutting a 8cmx18cm of red cardstock paper.
Attach two strips of yellow or gold foil paper on each side lengthwise.
Divide the paper into 3 pieces at 6cm width. You can make a couple of these to make a bunch of fake firecrackers
Now you roll each 6cm paper like in the image above. Use a marker pen to roll it nicely.
Cut the rolled paper more than half way, this will help bend the rolled paper into 2 fake firecrackers.
Once you have enough fake firecracker rolls, line it up like in the image above.
Cut out a 2.5cmx15.5cm red cardstock strip. Add double sided tape on this strip so you can attached your rolled out papers.
Top finish it, you can make this fun twist and fold card
