This is my first big project of a low poly paper craft. It’s a 20 inches Homer 3D lowpoly figure.
I got the design from Paper Juke. They provide the 3D file and I was able to export the 3D design into a cut file using a Pepakura app. If you have a machine cutter it would bypass cutting each piece manually and you’ll be able to focus more on assembling it together which I think is the fun part of this craft.
It’s basically building a puzzle in 3D.

Materials you will need:
- Cardstock paper (Yellow, white, blue, red)
- Craft / paper glue
- Cutting machine
- Pepakura free app (to view the 3D figure as guide on how to assemble each pieces together)
This is the view from pepakura app, you can explore each parts to know how to assemble each pieces.
You’ll need a total of 28 cardstock papers to make the 3D figure.
The difficulty level of this paper craft depends on the parts of the figure. The most difficult for me were the facial features and hand part. I even forgot his nose.
I painted over the mouth part with brownish paint since I don’t have that specific paper color. It works out all right.
Overall I’m satisfied on how it turned out, lots of flaws but I am happy with the result since it’s my first time building this big of a 3D low poly paper figure.
You can download the design cut file for below if you want to try it for yourself. I provided the silhouette studio file and Pepakura 3D file as well.
